Corona, pandemic, quarantine, isolation! Some new and tough words come into people’s daily life. No one is aware of it. Most people don’t know what is Covid-19, how it can infect someone and so many things.

What if you could access every single necessary thing, authentic information, and comprehensive news about CoronaVirus from one place? To solve this problem, a bunch of creative minds decided to do something. They came up together to save people, to help people, to aware people of this dinosaur.

Palao Corona is a government-accredited platform that brings COVID-19-related information, updates, and services under one roof. Palao Corona, is an open-source project, designed in the bilingual form to help mass people know about the COVID-19. And it is a movement against the Covid-19 Pandemic. It’s a comprehensive package of a web platform, an app, and a Facebook page- designed to put everything related to the news of the Corona Virus under one roof. It’s a non-profit, independent, and crowd-sourced platform, with its mobile application & web portal open-sourced for everyone to use.

From March 18, 2020, our team started working and they made the mobile app to website & everything in between – in a short span of 5 days! We were pleased to have such tech contributors on our team to help us build the app and website within a rush time.

Thanks to Slack Technologies for providing three months of free access to us. After reaching a certain number of users on our mobile application, Palao Corona got accredited as one of the government-accredited applications for the ongoing pandemic time. It was a great way to go ahead. The team started collecting applicant data for the corona test and connected our database to the central government database.
